The Busy Librarian: LMC/ARBA Best of Reference Award.

A reception was held at the ABC-CLIO booth at the ALA Annual Conference on Saturday morning recognizing the winners of the first annual LMC/ARBA Best of Reference Award. I had the esteemed privilege of serving on the panel of judges this year and I am confident that this award, recognizing the Best of Reference in the areas of children's and young adult library resources, will earn a reputation for spotlighting quality reference tools worthy of adoption in libraries across the country.

Those already familiar with Library Media Connection (LMC) magazine?and the American Reference Books Annual (ARBA)?are well aware of the the reliable materials reviews and outstanding professional article therein. I know you will no doubt value the winners of the LMC/ARBA Best of Reference Award as much as I. Enjoy!
